Project Description

Northwestern Memorial Hospital’s new Imaging Center is psychologically supportive for patients and families, maximizes daylight and views, and creates a warm, inviting interior that makes people feel comfortable and confident. Earth toned colors, soft lighting, and nature-inspired artwork are used throughout to reduce patient stress levels and create a timeless appeal. Cues are incorporated in the floors, walls, ceilings, and lighting to provide way finding, visual hierarchy and interest. The design and planning of the center supports the efficient delivery of quality healthcare, respects patient privacy and dignity, and strives to improve overall patient and staff experience and satisfaction.
